Platts European Energy Efficiency Strategies

Hand in hand with the renewables revolution, business and governments worldwide are diverting huge resources and attention to energy efficiency. As well as underpinning the development of alternative sources, it’s also key to efforts to make the best use of conventional fuels. And it’s not just the concern of generators and consumers of power but manufacturing, transport and construction and many other sectors.

From the richest industrialised nations to the energy-intensive emerging economies this is fast becoming one of the hottest of topics. And nowhere are energy efficiency strategies higher on the agenda than in the European Union. Among the most ambitious targets of its energy and climate package, the EU has vowed to save 20% of energy consumption by 2020 through energy efficiency. To achieve this goal, it is working to mobilise public opinion, decision-makers and market operators and to set minimum energy efficiency standards with far-reaching rulings on products, services and infrastructure. So, knowledge of the strategies and initiatives is vital — as well as the opportunities they present.

Platts’ inaugural European Energy Efficiency Strategies conference will provide a timely and comprehensive overview of each area involved in the energy efficiency sector from regulation, finance, power generation, design, building, and transportation to innovative green technology and operation management systems. We will also look at numerous case studies, illustrating the implementation of new technologies in energy efficiency projects across Europe. Plus significant actions and initiatives throughout the rest of world.

And proving it’s not merely essential to be thoroughly informed, European Energy Efficiency Strategies will also provide unrivalled business and networking opportunities, making it a not-to-be-missed event for those involved in all areas of the European energy market, construction, transportation and manufacturing in general.
